Troop Leadership
Currently, our troop is headed by Scoutmaster Thompson. Mr. Thompson has been with Troop 682 for 4 years. He has been a vital part of making Troop 682 who it is today. Our SPL Ritwik joined the troop 3 years ago. He possesses the expertise needed to run a large troop like ours, and works closely with Mr. Thompson to make things happen.
The Core of Our Troop
Our troop relies on adult leaders to ensure the success of scouts. Our New Scout Coordinator Mr. Meritt has been crucial in recruiting Webelo’s scouts and ensuring smooth transition to the troop. Our treasurer Mr. Storch has collected dues from Scouts for over 6 years, and our Merit Badge Coordinator Mrs. Vlasto has overseen the completion of over 500 merit badges. We rely on them to keep Troop 682 going!
Development of This Site
In November 2021, I joined our webmaster team with the goal to completely overhaul Troop 682’s website. I spent my 6 month term researching different hosting platforms, learning different software’s, and designing a professional website that stood out. With the help of our Adult Webmaster Advisor, I was able to finalize our website on 3/7/2022. I look forward to watching this site grow and change with the arrival of future webmasters, and am glad that I could make my mark on Troop 682. – Vinay Yallapragada
