Our Introduction

Welcome to Troop 682!

Founded on February 8, 1990, Troop 682 has a rich history, originating from the Scouts of Pack 813. Troop 682G was established in 2022. We meet every Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at PVUMC, Chantilly, VA-our charter organization. Despite the many changes over the years, our commitment to Scouting excellence remains steadfast.

We are part of the National Capital Area Council (NCAC) and sponsored by Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Our goal is to instill the values of the Scout Oath and Law, helping young people make ethical and moral choices throughout their lives.

Why Should You Join Troop 682?

With weekly Troop meetings, at least one outdoor outing per month, and an annual high adventure program, Troop 682 is always buzzing with activities and camps throughout the year, not just during school months! More fun for you, more opportunities too!

Our Scouts, led by their Senior Patrol Leader and the Patrol Leaders Council, embark on exciting adventures that make their Trail to Eagle both fun and meaningful.

Our program is outstanding! Because we have a troop where the Scouts plan and lead the program, the scouts have a great time. Check out the calendar for upcoming trips!

Grow Into Your Best Self

Meet Our Leaders

Our Troop 682B is guided by Scoutmaster Rich Kay, and Troop 682G is guided by Scoutmaster Sarah Vepraskas who have been a cornerstone of Troop 682 for many years. Our current Senior Patrol Leader, Ryan Dunn for Troop 682B and Bhavya Kanmathareddy, for Troop 682G exemplifies hard work and dedication.

Supportive Adult Leaders

We owe much of our success to our committed adult leaders. Mr. Ducote, our New Scout Coordinator, plays a crucial role in recruiting Webelos Scouts and ensuring their smooth transition. Mr. Storch, our Treasurer, diligently manages the collection of dues, while Mrs. Anbari, our Merit Badge Coordinator, has overseen the completion of over 500 merit badges. Their efforts keep Troop 682 thriving!
